Richard the Clinician

Richard, a licensed mental health professional, has been providing individual and group therapy services in a variety of clinical setting for almost 20 years. He is also a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer and understands the importance of physical wellness to emotional health. He is board certified in medical and clinical hypnotherapy and has spent much of his professional career working with addiction treatment in the context of families and criminal justice settings. His approach to counseling is praxeological: seeking solutions for clients from a holistic perspective, focusing on wellness rather than pathology.

Richard the Educator

Richard’s lighthearted and humorous approach makes him a popular and frequent speaker at national and international conferences, such as a featured instructor on Professional Ethics for the European Branch of the American Counseling Association in Germany, teaching "Skill-Building Hypnosis Training" at the ACA's 2008 conference in Hawaii, and for many other organizations. He was the National Guild of Hypnotist's (NGH) 2007 recipient of the Hypnotism Achievement Award, and the 2008 recipient of the ICBCH's "Instructional Hypnosis Video of the Year" award.

Richard holds advanced degrees in both counseling and religion, and has been trained in Canada, Europe and the United States in psychotherapy, family therapy, clinical hypnosis, communications, fitness and wellness. He is a member of the European Branch of the American Counseling Association (EB-ACA), the American Counseling Association (ACA), the NGH (National Guild of Hypnotists) and several other professional organizations.

Richard has a professional background in stage and close-up magic, and was one of Eugene Berger's first one-on-one students. Paula Saxon Nongard, MA - Professional Relations Director

Paula is the Executive Administrator and Professional Relations Director. She is the author of several texts counseling and hypnosis text, including the Nongard Couples Conflict Questionnaire (NCCQ) and the Nongard Strengths and Resources Inventory (NSRI), and has co-written and edited numerous more.

Paula works with state and national continuing education boards, talent, product development and promotion, to ensure that all of our products will meet your professional standards, and she is available to assist you with any questions.
